Mirror neurons may explain
| Mirror neurons may explain |
| Jeff Jarvis thinks Bill Maher went over the edge with his guest Ward Churchill. It's probably genetic. Friday's Wall Street Journal wrote on mirror neurons[subscription required]: "Mirror neurons also let us feel another person's pain. The same cortical neurons that process the sense of touch also fire when you see someone else touched. "
The article pointed out the autistic may have too few mirror neurons and thus may have difficulty projecting. Bill Maher and his ilk may have too many. No wonder knee-jerk liberals [as opposed to those like Jeff ;-) ] resonate to the phrase "I feel your pain." |
