| Reinventing liberalism |
| Reinventing liberalism... or going back to it. The New Statesman explained, "It started with some like-minded progressives meeting in a London pub. Disenchanted with what they saw as the wrong-headed thinking of the anti-war movement, they began to talk of a new left movement." What followed was the "Euston Manifesto" that you are welcome to read.
My comment: A useful first draft to focus your thinking. For the next step, take your first principles and explain why.
Anyone can state what they believe in, but to bring people along with you -- which is what the times call for -- explain compelling reasons why.
It can be done.
Hint: I write about it all the time. |
