Today's Announcements
• There be a bible club meeting tomorrow. See you there!
• History club will have a meeting on Wednesday, February 10 at 2:30 in room 2233. Yearbook picture will be taken and don't forget to bring in candy money and extra candy.
• Heat of Fusion: Anyone who preordered their Heat of fusion shirt, please pick them up today. Shirts are 10 dollars this year.
• Honor Society there will be a work session on Tuesday February, 9th, in room 1233. Please bring your tobacco free information and your dues.
• Alfred University: Are you intersted in horseback riding? Alfred University is offering summer riding camps for BOTH English and Western riding. Both will be held in July. Check out Alfred University website for more information www.alfred.edu/summer.
•The RFA Girls Basketball Booster Clubwill be selling wooden roses for valentines day. If you don't know what to get your sweetheart, come down to the lobby during lunch and check them out. $10 a dozen gets your valentines dozen roses.
• Attention honor society, there will be a work session on Tuesday, February 9, in room 1233. Please bring your tobacco-free information.
• There will be an important peer leaders meeting today after school in room 1234
• ATTENTION ALL SENIORS! Check the list of seniors that will not be pictured in this year's yearbook. The list is posted outside of room 1205. If your name is on this list, please stop into room 1205 during 8th or 9th period to discuss options.
• New schedulesgiven to students are for second semester. Check to see that your schedule is full. If you see "None" written on your sheet, meet with your guidance councilor. ;
• Anyone interested in participating in Mock Trial should see Mr. Lacey in room 2242 as soon as possible. We are currently forming a team for school competitions.
• Want to win a laptop computer? How about cash? Turn a great science idea into money and prizes! Enter the 53rd Rome Science Fair , to be held on March 6th here at RFA! See any science teacher for an application.
• Attention girls interested in playing field hockey! Lots of playing opportunities are available. Pick up an info sheet in the girls phys ed office during your lunch period.

•Babysitting> There is a babysitting job available. The location is in the town of Lee on Hillson Drive. If you are interested, see Mr. Davis in the guidance office.
• The quote of the week was submitted by Black History Club, "You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them."
• Seniors, many new scholarships applications are now available in the guidance office.
• Attention Seniors! Senior t-shirts are now available in the STASS office at lunch. The cost is $15.00. You may also pick up you spirit wear form in front of STASS during lunch.
• Juniors and seniors interested in going to Costa Rica in April, please see Mrs. Rizzo in room 1321 for information.
• Staff and students are invited to submit suggestions for favorite quote of the week. Quotes can come from the genre of your choice: poems, music lyrics, popular sayings etc. Please leave your suggestions with Mrs. Polivka at the front desk.
• College representatives will visit RFA in the spring to meet with juniors. If you are interested, get a special pass from your counselor.
