Rome's own Carolyn Wise, a nurse at Ridge Mills Elementary School, will be tending to the tragedy in Haiti by actually going there to aid the refugees. She is taking a four-week unpaid leave of absence to travel to Cap-Haitien, which is the location of an orphanage run by her sister-in-law. Wise is aware that a massive amount of people have yet to receive medical attention and she plans on helping whoever is in need. She will be in need of materials, so any donations will be greatly appreciated.
