Juniors Get Jumpstart Awards for College

RFA juniors had earlier attended an awards ceremony in which a select few were given scholarships for their outstanding work throughout high school. Each student listed below was offered a scholarship in the case that they are accepted and enroll into the college submitting the award.
Hannah Johnson was offered the Smith College Book Award. Kagen Dewey received The ESF Book Award. Brandon Torres, Nick Clifford, and Thomas Gymburch were offered to attend the Boys State program during the month of June to explore the workings of government.
Erica Foley received a Lawrence Technical University Award for Science and Mathematics for up to $8,000 over four years.
Erica Macior received the Wells College Twenty-First Century Leadership Award for $20,000 over four years.
The University of Rochester had given out three tremendous awards for three different students. Twenty-thousand dollars was given to
Nicholas Brement by the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award,
Taylor Rapke by the Douglas & Susan B. Anthony Award, and Kelly Benfey by the George Eastman Young Leaders Award.
Eileen Coffman received the Russell Sage College Award for up to $16,000.
Tyler Butters and Cassandra Seifert were offered the Rochester Institute of Technology Computing Medal and an annual $6,000 scholarship.
Erica Stapleton and Richard Hojnacki were given up to $25,000 by the St. Michael's College Book Award.
Erin Bojanek received the Clarkson University Leadership Award for $44,000 over four years at Clarkson. Margaret Messenger also received a Clarkson University Award for Achievement, which covers $36,000.
Kevin Li was offered a $60,000 scholarship from Rensslaer Polytechnic Institute.
Mirra Campbell and Nikolas Gray both received the Elmira College Key Award worth $10,000 a year at Elmira College.
Last but not least, Rachel Skavina received the Le Moyne College Heights Award also worth $10,000 a year.
