i looked up at my calendar this morning and realized another page had to be torn off.  where did this entire summer go?  this summer definitely went by faster than last summer.  pretty soon we'll be dusting off the snowbrushes and training our ears to endure that particular sound of ice being scraped off the windshield.

i should have known something was afoot this morning when i had to turn the car heater on.  man, this really stinks.

i say we all write our congresspeople and demand a federal law be passed that prohibits a speedy summer.  they could tack it onto a bill they're fast tracking through. 

that's how everything else gets through, right?
